Penang Blogger Community #1: Soy Sauce Leading to Cancer

Hey Youths ! Thank you to all of you who signed up for the blogger community ! So here goes ! This is our very first activity. Check out how you can be a part of it below ! :

There has been various findings of cancer-causing chemicals are found in various soy sauce in the market. In some, the levels massively exceeded the international safety limit while others contained traces of banned toxic substance.

Soy sauce, as vinegar is divided into two types under national standard, brewed and compound. The compound soy sauce must contain more than half of brewed soy sauce, which means that any soy sauce doesn’t contain brewed soy sauce is illegal, The experts pointed out that if the process control strictly, the compound soy sauce doesn’t produce carcinogens, but it must contain more than 50% of brewed soy sauce. However, there’s no way to distinguish between brew and compound, so that many unscrupulous traders claimed all their products are brew soy sauce, even if it is compound, according to investigation.

1. What is Penang Youth??

Penang Youth is a platform for all young people between the age of 13years old to 29 years old. We don't care WHO you are or WHERE your from.. as long as you want to learn something and at the same time HAVE FUN. Here is the best place for you to explore yourself. Below are the areas that we offer ALL youths !!

Entrepreneurship (In other words, building businesses.. we offer advise and consultations for you and also business networking sessions plus workshops, skills and management)
Technology (Computer Programming, Software applications, website building, techno geek gathering)
Creative Arts (Graphic Design, Dance, Videography, Photography and anything that creates FUN and FLASHY COLORS)

2. How can I be a part of the member?

PenangYouth Tribute to Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs has always been in an inspiring leader and a great mentor to follow. Today, is the day... that we lost someone really valuable.. Even thou all the way from Penang, Malaysia, his lost is greatly felt.

To those upcoming leaders of the nation, this is a story that must been shared and cherish.. read on..

Apple on Wednesday confirmed that its former CEO, Steve Jobs, has died. He was 56.

"Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being," Apple said in a note on its Web site. "Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."

The Apple.com Web site currently bears a photo of Jobs (left). Apple asked fans to share their memories, thoughts, and condolences via rememberingsteve@apple.com.

Jobs stepped down as Apple CEO in August after nearly 14 years at the helm of the company he co-founded in 1976. "I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come," he said at the time.

Apple did not disclose any additional details about his passing, but Jobs had battled health problems for several years. Three years after having successful surgery for pancreatic cancer, Jobs announced in January 2009 that he had a "hormone imbalance" that was robbing his body of necessary proteins. He took a leave of absence, and it was later revealed that he underwent a liver transplant. By June 2009, he was back at work.

Though highly successful, Jobs's busy 2010 again took a toll on his health and he took another leave of absence in January 2011. He surprised and delighted fans, however, by showing up for the debut of the iPad 2 in March, telling those in attendance that he had worked too hard on the product to miss its launch. He was also there to show off iOS 5 and Mac OS X Lion a few months later.

Tim Cook, who is now Apple's CEO, took the stage in Jobs' place to launch the new iPhone 4S, the start of a new era at Apple.

It will be a 2-day Conference + Workshop, with interdisciplinary leading edge dialogue and explorations on the Creative City as first mooted by Charles Landry and everyone's role in this.

Our conferences have been designed to be a continuous platform to engage you, and to discover together with the speakers, how we can transform humanity to places yet imagined.
