1. What is Penang Youth??

Penang Youth is a platform for all young people between the age of 13years old to 29 years old. We don't care WHO you are or WHERE your from.. as long as you want to learn something and at the same time HAVE FUN. Here is the best place for you to explore yourself. Below are the areas that we offer ALL youths !!

Entrepreneurship (In other words, building businesses.. we offer advise and consultations for you and also business networking sessions plus workshops, skills and management)
Technology (Computer Programming, Software applications, website building, techno geek gathering)
Creative Arts (Graphic Design, Dance, Videography, Photography and anything that creates FUN and FLASHY COLORS)

2. How can I be a part of the member?

COME'ON !!! Seriously... ANYONE can be a member of Penang Youth =) As long as you are from Penang. So the question now is how can you sign up with us?? FOLLOW the steps below :

PenangYouth Tribute to Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs has always been in an inspiring leader and a great mentor to follow. Today, is the day... that we lost someone really valuable.. Even thou all the way from Penang, Malaysia, his lost is greatly felt.

To those upcoming leaders of the nation, this is a story that must been shared and cherish.. read on..

Apple on Wednesday confirmed that its former CEO, Steve Jobs, has died. He was 56.

"Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being," Apple said in a note on its Web site. "Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."

The Apple.com Web site currently bears a photo of Jobs (left). Apple asked fans to share their memories, thoughts, and condolences via rememberingsteve@apple.com.

Jobs stepped down as Apple CEO in August after nearly 14 years at the helm of the company he co-founded in 1976. "I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come," he said at the time.

Apple did not disclose any additional details about his passing, but Jobs had battled health problems for several years. Three years after having successful surgery for pancreatic cancer, Jobs announced in January 2009 that he had a "hormone imbalance" that was robbing his body of necessary proteins. He took a leave of absence, and it was later revealed that he underwent a liver transplant. By June 2009, he was back at work.

Though highly successful, Jobs's busy 2010 again took a toll on his health and he took another leave of absence in January 2011. He surprised and delighted fans, however, by showing up for the debut of the iPad 2 in March, telling those in attendance that he had worked too hard on the product to miss its launch. He was also there to show off iOS 5 and Mac OS X Lion a few months later.

Tim Cook, who is now Apple's CEO, took the stage in Jobs' place to launch the new iPhone 4S, the start of a new era at Apple.

We are happy to invite you to the 6th thinklab© Design Conference, happening under the auspices of Georgetown Festival 2011.
It will be a 2-day Conference + Workshop, with interdisciplinary leading edge dialogue and explorations on the Creative City as first mooted by Charles Landry and everyone's role in this.

Our conferences have been designed to be a continuous platform to engage you, and to discover together with the speakers, how we can transform humanity to places yet imagined.

So, to our past and repeat participants, we would like to welcome you back to the next curve of conversation.

Our cities are changing and adapting to solve those daunting systemic problems. We all know something needs to be done here and now, and we wish we have the answer what.

There will be two inputs before the nomination/election process. The first will provide a short history of the local elections, the structures of the MPPP and MPSP and the role of councillors within those structures. The second will be a discussion about what we expect from a councillor. Then we will invite those people who have put themselves forward as potential civil society nominees to say a few words. We will then have an election (of five nominees for MPPP and five for MPSP)! These names will be forwarded to the state government (YB Chow will be invited to the Forum) for appointment.

Rationale

Elected local representation is a cornerstone of local government and local democracy. Municipal (local) government elections used to be part of our democratic process until they were suspended in 1965 by the federal Alliance government. Since then, local councillors have been political appointees. In 2008, the new PR state governments appointed a few NGO representatives as part of their election promises which included bringing back local elections.
Penang Forum is committed to helping bring back local elections to Penang to promote democracy, transparency and accountability. Pending that, Penang Forum would like to see a more transparent appointment of civil society's representatives in MPPP and MPSP and is asking that for 2011, there be five civil society councillors appointed for Penang Island and another five for Seberang Prai.
We are calling Penang Forum 3 to elect nominees for these positions.

DiGi, in aid of WWF’s Kinabatangan Corridor of Life (K-CoL) Reforestation Project, seeks to ensure that this continues for generations to come. The K-CoL seeks to connect isolated blocks of forests along the Kinabatangan, which will eventually allow wider wildlife movement as well as improve the quality of habitat along the forest corridor.

This will also contribute towards restoring the ecological integrity of the K-CoL floodplain and help to conserve endangered wildlife and support ecotourism.

A leader that we should all remember. Family, friends and Jazzada Solution suffer a great lost on 17th January 2010. All hearts to Jason Ch'ng (1993-2010).
Last year, 2009... He lead Chung Ling Leo Club to organize Penang Largest Merdeka Youth Carnival 2009. Impacting lives and inspiring dreams. United as ONE. Youths from various background and color came together to make a difference.

We met him.

He Attended every meeting and delivered all his promises

He believed in us like how we did for him..

HEY PENANG YOUTHS !!! =)

For those who came to our Youth Jam'09 this year, you would realise that you did a survey for Youth Jam before you receive a goodie bag from Jazzada =) SO !! Penang Youths.. here are the results =)

From this chart above we can conclude that most of the public at the Youth Jam 09’ Event did not know about JazzAda Solution, only about 1 third of the public knows the existence of the company.

While this chart is related to the chart above where it shows how the public that knew about JazzAda solution other than attending the Youth Jam 09’ Event. We can determine most are from friends, next through online and the least through educational institutions. There are a number of participants did not state how they knew about JazzAda Solution, therefore they are not included in this chart.

Most of the participants of Youth Jam 09’ found the event to be enjoyable. There were a small number of participants who found the event less enjoyable.

In relation to the chart above, we ask whether they are interested in joining the company and around half are interested and the rest uninterested.
In the final chart we surveyed their answers and place them in particular areas they are interested in the company and most of them are interested in entertainment and the least in social science.

WELLL... Thatz about it !! =) We will continue to invite brands to understand Penang Youths Better and of course.. To change the mindset of the Cooperate Brands... First, Jazzada needs ALL your support to help us Change!! =) Cheers !!
